Manalapan Homes for Sale
Discover Manalapan's Luxury Real Estate Market
Manalapan is a small oceanfront community on the Atlantic coast, nestled between Palm Beach and Boca Raton. The town is dominated by its waterfront location, which has led to its reputation as a popular luxury real estate market. This geography has also resulted in two unique and distinctive communities. The eastern portion of Manalapan can be found on a barrier island, offering spectacular access to the Atlantic Ocean and Intracoastal Waterway, while the western portion is located on the southern third of Hypoluxo Island, in the Lake Worth area of the Intracoastal. In true Florida fashion, the two regions are connected only by the waters of Lake Worth.

Manalapan boasts a reputation of elegance from inception. The town itself dates back to a homestead granted in 1889 by US President Benjamin Harrison. It’s thought to be named for Manalapan Township in New Jersey, and was incorporated in 1931 by Commodore Harold Vanderbilt of the famed Vanderbilt family. He chose Manalapan in which to build his sprawling estate, designed by renowned architect Maurice Fatio, whose Mediterranean-style homes still set the standard for South Florida opulence. This level of luxury set the stage for the lush, expansive properties that set Manalapan apart from its neighbors.
Manalapan’s location means it offers spectacular views along with imminent access to the beach and waterfront, but is within easy distance of the bustling cultural hubbubs, restaurants, and shopping of Palm Beach, Boca Raton, and Delray Beach.
